Class to Night Out: Printed Cropped Pants

Printed cropped trousers
Pants: 1, 2, 3
Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.

There’s no time like summertime to go for a bold print. Something about warm weather just makes me want to channel my inner Serena van der Woodsen and go full-on wild child. Can you blame me?
This week, I’ll be showing you how to style two looks around my current fashion obsession – printed cropped pants. Simultaneously ladylike and wild, they combine an elegant silhouette with a playful and fashion-forward vibe that just can’t be beat. Plus, these pants are so bold that you can just throw on a few basics and head out the door looking like a million bucks.

Printed Cropped Pants: Class

Create a laid-back, yet eclectic look for class by pairing your printed pants with a bold graphic tank, then grab a simple navy belt for balance. Contrast tailored elegance with a devil-may-care ‘tude with some killer accessories, like crystal-shaped studs and a thin cross bracelet. Grab a pair of basic black t-strap sandals (so obsessed with these this season) and a goldenrod bag to add an extra pop of color.

Printed Cropped Pants: Night Out

Experiment with color and texture to create an unforgettable night out ensemble. Pair your pants with a universally flattering navy peplum top, creating a blank canvas you can really play around with. Don’t be afraid to go a little crazy with color – a great print with a variety of hues will match just about everything. Try a bright lime necklace and an electric pink clutch to amp things up, while keeping the look classic with a pair of two-tone pumps. Complete the outfit with another burst of color – tricolor cluster earrings elevate this look to style perfection.
