This
is the outfit I wore to my 10 year high school reunion. It’s a mix of
lace and a bit of a rocker-ish edge, something I’ve been gravitating
toward lately.
It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years since I graduated from high school and made the short trek to Austin for university. As anyone who has been to their high school reunion will tell you, it’s certainly a melting pot of emotions.
On the one hand you feel you’ve outgrown the person you were back
then, you’re a “better version” of yourself, you’re happier, and more
successful, and making your mark on the world.
On the other hand, you slip right back into your old role, and you
feel tentative, even shy maybe, about saying hi to the jock or the
popular cheerleader.
But in the end it doesn’t matter, because you’ve got the most
handsome man in the room on your arm, and you’re happy, and you’re
successful, and you’re making your mark on the world.
