Parisian Chic & The Trench Coat Story

Trench coat- Banana Republic (Paris!) | Top- StyleMint | Jeans- 7 for all mankind | Necklace- Marc by Marc Jacobs | Flats- Toms Ballet Flats | Handbag- Longchamp

Paris is an amazing city. It reminded me of a much older New York City – with better architecture and feeling even more lost than usual because you don’t speak the language. While in Paris we made sure to enjoy the touristy sites like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Versailles, the d’Orsay, and so much more. And of course, a little shopping.

This trench coat has a funny story behind it – while at Versailles in the gardens waiting for the enormous line to die down, I was taking pictures of HB and an enormous crow decided to release the entire contents of his bowel onto the sleeve of my khaki trench coat. Distraught, we had no other clothes for me, and no patience to wait in a 2-hour line, so we went home never having set food inside Versailles. The good news is that Banana Republic trench coats are half the price in Paris than they are in the States! I happily snatched up one in black and wore it every single day thereafter. I intend to save up for the khaki version, too. :)

Has a bird ever used you as a toilet? Inquiring minds want to know!
…And hit that “like” button up top if you think that nobody is immune to the threat of bird poop!
